"Good artists borrow;
great artists steal."

Doing graphics work in the NavCenter atmosphere provides a wonderful opportunity to stretch your pre-conceived art notions. One is encouraged to flex the creative muscles, to scribble outside the box, to try new things, and, yes, to steal great ideas from fellow krew members.

This website is based on a short workshop conducted in October 2000 at the Borgess Navigation Center by
Amelia Hansen and Alicia Bramlett. A morning was spent sharing tips that we've stumbled on and gleaning new ones from our participants, several of whom are fluent scribes and K-Wall builders in their own right
.

The images reproduced on this site were originally drawn on glossy-surfaced, medium-gray colored, magnetic walls measuring approximately 6' high by 4' to 12' long. The dark coloring and shiny surface of the walls, along with the transparent ink of the dry erase markers, make it sometimes difficult to get good photos, so please keep this in mind as you look at the pictures.

Thanks!
