The
graphics team provides the artwork which reinforces the theme and
creates a consistent visual identity for an event. These images
appear on nametags, breakout plaques and assignment headers. At
the conclusion of the event, the visual theme carries over into
the the layout and design of the work product or journal.
During
the event the graphics team offers art support for the KreW as well
as the participants.
The
use of graphics in an interactive process is also a powerful tool
to create group memory. It allows the group to share a common understanding
of complex issues. Participants can say, "I can see what we
mean." The process can also challenge a group to see patterns
in its own information.
Graphic
facilitation methods are relatively easy to learn. One does not
need to be an artist; the simplest graphics are often the most effective.
