production: archiving

What do we archive? Recreating the participant's experience in their Journal requires keeping track of all the work that they and we generate. During the event all of these pieces are kept in the Archive Storage Box. When the event is complete and all Work Products and Journals put together, all these pieces and parts that have been shuffled and filed throughout the event will make the journey from the Archive Storage Box to a filing cabinet in the Archive room. The electronic archive of the event will be moved into the <Events Past> folder on the NavCtr server.

The production team will keep track of...

Any document created by the Krew for the Krew

  • Strawdog
  • Participant list
  • Krew list
  • Floor map of the environment (make sure to keep an original copy of each configuration used during the course of an event)

Any document created for the Participants by the Krew

  • Assignments (8.5x11 or 11x17 for Hypertiles)
  • Templates
  • Reading materials (Books, Articles, websites) Bibliography
  • Graphics (models, lap scribing, etc.)

Any document created by the Participants during the event.

  • Hypertiles is the vehicle of choice for capturing the Participants work on paper.
  • Photographs of the WorkWalls in the Break Out areas (at the discretion of the PF or request of the participants)
  • Photographs of Wall Scribing in the Radiant Room)
  • 'Take-A-Panels' will always be photographed or wall copied then scanned.

The decision of whether or not to photograph work done by the participants in their breakout areas can be answered best by the Facilitators and PF. Check with the PF before photographing or erasing any WorkWalls. In the midst of chaos, photograph them anyway. The electronic files can be deleted if they are not required for the archives.
