Using the NavCenter for Project Work

The NavCenter environment can be used to support project work at multiple levels ranging from a simple project meeting to a NavCenter event to define the project parameters, provide progress updates or roll out the project.

Project Meeting -Teams can use the NavCenter WorkWalls to quickly document their ideas and concepts. The information on the WorkWalls can then be captured electronically. This eliminates the need for someone to take minutes at the meeting and the information is immediately available to the project leader and team members.

NavCenter Event - The project leader can work with the NavCenter staff to design an event(s) for the project. Areas which can be explored during the event include:

  • Providing background information to the team
  • Project scope and definition
  • SWOT Analysis
  • Project Tasks (buckets of work)
  • Establishing the project timeline
  • Gap Analysis
  • Project Implementation

Resources - Resources available for project work include: WorkWalls, Hypertiles, Books and Articles, Internet Access, Audiovisual Equipment, Music and Computer Hardware and Software.

New Way of Working - At the NavCenter we talk about a "new way of working" that promotes the creative process among people who thrive in complex and changing environments. Here's an introduction to what that means.
