The
Annotated Network Diagram Map is a dynamic, visual, and verbal planning
method that enables users to see the parts of a plan in context
of the whole plan.
Activities
are shown (by different shapes) on three levels of planning: strategic
(landmarks and benchmarks), tactical (events), and task (tasks and
objectives). Each activity is numbered and referenced to the supporting
information in the project data base.
An
ANDmap is an effective alignment tool because everyone can see his
or her part within the total. Ordering resources over time (planning),
on both individual and corporate levels, allows each person to see
how their particular objectives can be met. Participating in the
development of the ANDmap gives each individual the experience of
how and why the resources were given their priority.
